Last Round of Leaf Pickup for Scotch Plains

Last chance for leaf pickup!  Final round of collection in Scotch Plains begins on Dec. 11 Credits: John Mooney

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Department of Public Property (DPP) has completed round 3 of leaf pickup for both the North and South Side of town.  The 4th and final round, accompanied by street sweeping, will begin on Dec. 11, 2014. The township asks residents to please keep streets clear of vehicles to allow the sweepers to clean the curb lines. The DPP anticipates the work to be completed before New Year’s Eve.

Please keep the leaf piles clear of vehicles. A three to four foot buffer away from piles in all directions will be appreciated. DPP will pass the areas if the trucks cannot access the leaves safely. Pickup is for LEAVES ONLY. Brush and tree parts can be taken to facilities such as Westfield Conservatory on Lambert’s Mill Rd., or the Union County Conservation Center on 1111 Springfield Rd. in Union. Violations will be issued.
