Although we had one new positive test case today in Scotch Plains for the first time in several days, we continue to do well in our battle with the coronavirus.
So lets keep following the CDC health rules to ensure that as we reopen Scotch Plains, we do not get a spike in new cases. In particular, continue to do social distancing and wear a face mask when you cannot keep a six foot distance from others.
The governor has recommended that masks be worn inside and outside when social distancing cannot be maintained. It is not a requirement, but I think it is a natural part of personal responsibility for each of us and a sign of respect and caring for those you encounter.
