UNION COUNTY, NJ – Every summer, parents are challenged when thinking about where they can spend time with their children. There is a wide variety of swimming pools around Union County for parents to take their children.

To start with, public pools around Union County offer something for everyone. Some public pools to take your children to include the Walter E. Ulrich Memorial Pool in Rahway and the John Russell Wheeler Pool in Linden, which will both open next week. Both pools offer daily admission and feature a large Olympic-sized lap pool, diving tanks, a playground, and a baby pool for toddlers.

If families want to join a private pool, some options include the Highland Swim Club in Scotch Plains, the JCC of Central New Jersey Pool in Scotch Plains, the YMCA in Scotch Plains and the Lifetime Pool in Berkley Heights.  Each pool requires membership. Additionally, some of the amentities at the public pools may be offered at the private pools.

At the April 19 meeting I answered with these comments.
