FANWOOD,NJ, - Mara’s Café and Bakery in Fanwood hosted a “Meet the Candidates” dinner on Wednesday evening, to allow residents to mix, mingle and talk with Councilwoman Kathy Mitchell and candidate Tom Kranz, both Democrats who are running for council seats on Nov. 5.

“Mara’s has been a wonderful addition to our downtown,” said Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr.  “Having a space this large makes it easy to hold community events like this.”

Both candidates made use of the space, moving from table to table to answer questions posed by residents, which included everything from the proposed police merger to the performance of the Fanwood Department of Public Works.
