Memorial Day Schedule in Scotch Plains-Fanwood

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Memorial Day Weekend festivities this year will include:

  • The Memorial Day Concert on Sunday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Side of the Fanwood Train Station,
  • Ceremony at Fanwood Memorial Library on Monday, May 28, at 9:00 a.m.,
  • Ceremony at The Gazebo on Park Ave. & Front St. at 10:00 a.m., and
  • The Memorial Day Parade.

This year's grand marshal will be Iraq War Veteran Konstantine Zoganas.

Memorial Day Parade shirts are available for purchase in white or blue for a $25 donation at Bob LaCosta's office at Scotch Plains Town Hall (430 Park Ave.). They can be purchased in the form of cash or by check made payable to the Township of Scotch Plains.

The Memorial Day Parade leaves from the gazebo and heads south along Park Ave. in Scotch Plains and Martine Ave. in Fanwood, ending at La Grande Park.
