Mirabella and Lapham Win Finals Matches as SPF Finishes Fifth in Union County Wrestling Tournament

UNION, NJ -- Alex Mirabella and Brian Lapham of Scotch Plains-Fanwood  won the 195 lb. and 145 lb. weight class finals as the Raiders finished fifth in the Union County Wrestling Tournament. Cranford won the County championship for the first time since 1986.
 
Individual results:
#1 Alex Mirabella of SPFHS pinned #2 Will Ferdinando of Roselle Park in the 195 lb. weight class final.
 
#1 Brian Lapham of SPFHS defeated #2 Brian McGovern of Cranford, 5-2, in the 145 lb. weight class final.
#1 Tyler Gazaway of New Providence defeated #2 J.T. Beirne of Scotch Plains, 6-1 (OT), in the 138 lb. weight class final.
