CLARK, NJ -- Under the direction of Sister Jacquelyn Balasia, the principal of Mother Seton Regional High School, the student council ran a food drive to insure that families in the area would be able to have a traditional holiday dinner. Through their efforts, the girls were able to create more than 40 large food baskets along with 40 turkeys, which were donated to Saint Joseph’s Social Service Center in Elizabeth and Saint John the Apostle Church in Clark,=.

The students used their boundless energy to collect, organize, and deliver all the baskets making sure that local families in need have the proper food for their feasts. This act of service is a living reflection of the school's mission statement: "Mother Seton Regional High School is a Catholic school that challenges, empowers and inspires young women to achieve excellence in academics, personal growth and service to others in a nurturing, richly diverse community."
