CLARK, NJ – The Westfield Avenue railroad crossing will close for construction on Monday, May 8 through Thursday, May 11, Clark police announced Wednesday.  Construction of this crossing, maintained by Conrail, will close this section of Westfield Avenue down entirely until work is completed.

"The railroad crossing will be closed Monday through Thursday of next week, 24 hours a day," said Chief of the Clark Police Department Pedro Matos. "That's a complete road closure at this point."

The road closure is expected to cause heavy delays throughout the area. Motorists are urged to find other routes during construction.
