Nail Place a Unique Experience

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Zoe Colotti is an experienced business owner, so when it was time to research where to open her latest business, she concentrated on Scotch Plains and eighteen months ago opened Nail Place on Park Avenue.

“I looked at many different towns in the area.  I really liked the cohesiveness of Scotch Plains, the fact that is was centrally placed and it just had the “feel” that I was looking for,” said Colotti.  “I also liked the fact that this particular shop was located across the street from both CVS and the Wells Fargo Bank.”

Colotti has set out to create the ultimate salon experience for her clients.  Clients are treated to a light and bright shop when they come in to Nail Place.  There are five manicure stations and five pedicure chairs. In addition to the usual manicures and pedicures, the salon offers spa pedicures, aromatherapy pedicures and information on how customers can better treat their nails to prevent infections.

To add a special touch, even for standard pedicure, hot stones are used to massage the customer’s leg.  Feet are scrubbed and enzymes are used to make feet beach ready.  At the end of each pedicure, paraffin wax is used as a way to rehydrate the feet.  Localized massages are also provided for relief and comfort. “Each customer is treated like a hand and foot model,” Colotti states.

Another service that sets Nail Place apart is offering services for couples, bridal parties, and birthday parties.  The larger party events are booked at least two weeks in advance.  This ensures that the salon can be closed to accommodate the party privately.

The Salon also offers waxing services. One of the facial waxes contains zinc oxide and is for sensitive skin.  Anesthetic spray may be used to numb the skin for more sensitive customers.  By providing two different types wax, a broader range of customers may properly be served.

The salon has many regular, weekly customers, and most new patrons were referred by a friend. Walk-in patrons are given a precise, true time so that they have a pleasant experience.  “We don’t want to waste their time, waiting. We also want each technician to take their time and give each customer their full attention,” said Colotti.   All patrons are asked to schedule their appointments at least 45 minutes prior to closing so that the technician is not rushed.

All of the products used at the Nail Salon were tested on-site at the salon. Each new product introduced is tested for two weeks by the technicians before the product is used on customers.  The Salon offers Shellac nail gel; however, prior to selecting that product, eight others were tested.  Customers are ensured the services and products provided meet with Colotti’s approval.

Nail Place offers customers a unique experience, one with products that have been thoroughly tested, a bright and inviting atmosphere and staff that are knowledgeable and efficient.   Nail Place is open Monday through Saturday 9:30am-7:00pm, and Saturdays 9:00am-6:00pm.

Sinai or Sanctuary?

And in the beginning, G‑d was homeless, and so G‑d asked His people to set Him up with some digs. Where does it say that? Well, nowhere, actually. But it does say that G‑d instructed Moses to tell the people, “They shall make for Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”

Now the question is, was G‑d really homeless? ...
