WESTFIELD, NJ — Scotch Plains-Fanwood residents who shop in Downtown Westfield will notice that the hours of paid parking have been reduced. Westfield’s parking lots now show that shoppers must pay for parking from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, instead of the former hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The new rule is one of several that the Westfield council approved recently as a result of recommendations by the Mayor’s Downtown Task Force.

Parking remains free throughout downtown on Sundays and holidays. Free parking is also available after 10:00 a.m. every weekday and all day on weekends in the unnumbered spots on the South Avenue side of the train station.
