“New Year, New Job, New You” -- Series of Free Workshops for Job Seekers at Temple Sholom

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Central NJ, a non-sectarian health and social service agency, and Temple Sholom will be hosting a series of three free  titled “New Year, New Job, New You”, on Thursday mornings, January 5, 12 and 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Temple Sholom, 1925 Lake Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ.

  • The January 5 workshop will focus on “Where Are all of the Jobs and How do I find Them?”  
  • The January 12 workshop will concentrate on “Resumes: One Size Doesn’t Fit All” and
  • The January 19 workshop is titled, “Creating an Online Presence with Social Media – Featuring LinkedIn.”

The workshops will be presented by Sheri Brown, a JFS Career Specialist and Career Coach, who will focus on job search skills and strategies. Ms. Brown, who initiated the Job Seeker Program at JFS in 2009, has worked with over 750 clients in both individual and group settings. She utilizes her knowledge of recruitment and human resources combined with her training skills to help job seekers navigate the current job market.
