FANWOOD, NJ -- On Sunday, June 21, all dads get a free sausage and pepper sub on torpedo rolls on Father’s Day at Nick’s Pizza (42 South Martine Ave.) in Fanwood.

Additionally, Nick's will have a cake from the famed Calandra's Bakery in Newark. Customers will receive a free piece of cake with every order to celebrate the restaurant’s third anniversary.

"We've celebrated women's night out with Ladies Night in Fanwood, so I wanted to do something special to show the appreciation that we have for the dads in town,” explained Paul Watterson, owner of Nick’s Pizza in Fanwood, who is a father of three and will be working on Father’s Day. "This is a great way -- especially for the little kids -- to treat dad to lunch."

Fanwood’s popular restaurant is very family-oriented.  Watterson’s wife, Jessica, is co-owner, and son’s Rob (25), Brandon (21), and Nick (13), for whom the pizzeria is named, all play an important role in the eatery’s success.

“Our third year anniversary is an important landmark for us; we are very appreciative of the support that we have received from everyone,” Watterson said. “We are very fortunate and blessed to be a part of such a great community.”
