Beatrice Irene Parker, was born on Feb. 6, 1921, in Brooklyn NY, and passed away in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at the age of 98. 

Beatrice lived in Scotch Plains for over 45 years. She held a B.A. degree from City College of New York.  Beatrice worked with her husband, Leonard, in the flower & display business for over 70 years.  As a co-owner of Parker Wholesale Florist (also known as Parker Gardens and Parker Interior Plantscape) Beatrice was the office manager and took care of all office/accounting duties. Together with her husband Leonard Parker, they grew Parker to one of the top premier horticultural companies.

Beatrice and her husband, Leonard, traveled the world bringing plants to the United States to sell to most major chain stores & many Fortune 500 companies. She received two awards for Horticultural excellence from the White House.

Beatrice was one of the founding members of Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains. She was also philanthropic, donating to numerous charities.

Beatrice was the daughter of Phillip and Anna Kieves. She had four siblings, Celia, George, Julius and Sidney. She was a loving mother to Richard & Steven Parker. She cherished her grandchildren, Scott, Kerri, Nathan and her great granddaughter, Ashley. 

She was buried at Beth Israel cemetery in Woodbridge.  Any donations in her name should be sent to;
