Gallery Exhibit & Reception | 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
During the month of September we will feature mosaics created by local resident Valentin Kovalyov. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Valentin worked as an artist, specializing in mosaics, stone, marble, and many other materials. From 1961 to 1979 he had created hundreds of government sponsored mosaic murals all over Ukraine and Moldavia. Many of the pieces on display in the gallery depict scenes from Russian fairy tales.

The Library welcomes dogs and their human volunteers from St. Hubert’s one Monday evening a month. The dogs love having stories read to them, and readers in Kindergarten and above are invited to come and take a turn. (Advance registration is required. Five minute time slots will be assigned to all participants. Priority will be given to Scotch Plains and Fanwood library cardholders)
