FANWOOD, NJ -- The Bisque Is Back at The Fanwood Grille.

Paul Watterson knows a thing or two about seafood. Having spent his childhood summers in Maine, he knows how a real lobster roll and New England clam chowder should taste. His lobster bisque, which sold out in a day the first time it was offered, is back by popular demand as part of the Fanwood Grille's Fish Friday offerings, including crab cakes and the award-winning New England clam chowder.

The bisque starts with real Maine lobsters that are boiled and reduced to give a zesty seafood flavor. Watterson adds flavorings, heavy cream and lobster claw meat.

"It's so authentic, you can almost hear the seagulls flying above," jokes Watterson, whose soups were voted Best in New Jersey by foodie website The Daily Meal in January.

On Saturday, St. Patrick's Day, Watterson will make his own corned beef and cabbage boiled in Guinness for an unparalleled taste.

"We'll have great corned beef cabbage and corned beef sandwiches as our special on Saturday and Sunday for St. Patrick's Day this weekend," said Watterson. "Like everything we make, the corned beef has a Fanwood Grille twist to it. On Sunday, we'll have our corned beef hash made from scratch. It's something you can't get anyplace else nearby."
