SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ – The PAL Cobras Fastpitch Softball team will be holding tryouts this Sunday, May 17 at the SPFHS varsity field for the upcoming summer league.

For over 20 years, the PAL Cobras Fastpitch team has been dedicated to teaching softball fundamentals, skills, strategies, and critical thinking to players at a young age.

The Cobras play in the Parkway Invitational Softball League, which travels around Union, Middlesex, Morris, and Somerset Counties.  The league is competitive as teams play one to two games per week in addition to practice.  The regular season consists of ten games beginning in June, concluding in late July. 

The schedule for Sunday is as follows:

  • 14U tryouts – 10:00 a.m. | $175.00 (games Tues. & Thurs.)
  • 12U tryouts – 12:30 p.m. | $150.00 (games Mon. & Wed.)
  • 10U tryouts – 2:30 p.m. | $125.00 (games Tues. & Thurs.)
  • 8U tryouts – 4:00 p.m. | $100.00 (games Mon. & Wed.)

Players are urged to arrive early with a completed registration form. Fees will be collected at the first practice.
