FANWOOD, NJ -- This Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Fanwood Presbyterian Church, the youth of the church will lead us on a meaningful journey with Jesus and the disciples during his last week in Jerusalem.

We will triumphantly enter Jerusalem while singing “All Glory Laud and Honor.”  We will hear the children’s and adult choirs sing “Ain’t No Rock Gonna Shout For Me” in remembrance of the children praising Jesus at the temple. The widow and her mite will be remembered followed by “Here I am Lord.”  The Last Passover and feet-washing will be presented as we sing “Jesu, Jesu.” After Christ’s crucifixion, the children, as scattered but repentant disciples, re-enter the sanctuary, singing “Jesus Remember Me When You Come into Your Kingdom” in remembrance of the repentant thief on the cross next to Jesus. Start your holy week with a joyful and meaningful dramatic overview of Jesus’ last week.

We are located at 74 South Martine Ave. on the corner of Martine and LaGrande Ave. in downtown Fanwood.

The Missing Moses

A seemingly dubious distinction belongs to this week’s Parshah, Tetzaveh (Exodus 27:20–30:10). It is the only reading in the Torah — from the first Parshah of the book of Exodus (in which he is born) until the end of the book of Numbers — where the name of Moses is not mentioned. Tetzaveh’s opening words are V’atah ...
