Party in the Park at LaGrande Park Kicks Off Summer Movie Series in Fanwood Tonight


FANWOOD, NJ -- Fanwood Recreation’s annual Party in the Park offers a wide array of activities for all ages on Tuesday, June 26th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at LaGrande Park to kick off the borough’s Free Summer Movie Series that will run continuously throughout the summer. Tonight’s feature presentation will be Despicable Me 3.

“Party in the Park has always been a great way to kick off the summer season,” said Mayor Colleen Mahr. “Thank you to the Recreation Commission for all of their hard work on putting these events together and I hope to see a lot of our residents in LaGrande Park.”

The party will include music, rides, amusements and more. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in a number of contests and games, while parents can relax and enjoy the night. The event and movie admission is free. Rides are offered for a small ticket fee. Food will be sold at the park.

Once the sun sets each Tuesday, the state-of-the-art 16 foot-wide movie screen will project some of the latest Hollywood blockbuster family friendly movies. The full schedule is listed below:

  • Monday, July 2nd: The Lego Batman Movie (with a special musical performance at 8pm by Play Theater Kids Cabaret)
  • Tuesday, July 10th: Beauty and the Beast (2017)

  • Tuesday, July 24th: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungles (PG-13)
  • Tuesday, July 31st: Coco
  • Tuesday, August 7th: Spider-Man: Homecoming (PG-13)
  • Tuesday, August 14th: Cars 3
