FANWOOD/SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains is hosting a program at the Chelsea presented by the Seeing Eye, Inc.  Mike Karnish and his dog Rumor will explain the Seeing Eye training process.

The Seeing Eye, Inc., is a philanthropic organization whose mission it is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of blind people through the use of dogs.  The Seeing Eye, which is located on a 60-acre campus outside of Morristown, breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs, trains them to guide blind people, instructs blind people in the proper use, handling and care of the dogs, and conducts and supports research on canine health and development.

It is the oldest existing guide-dog school in the world.  For more information about the organization, please visit www.seeingeye.org.  The program will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Chelsea, 295 South Ave., Fanwood, NJ, at 7:45 PM.  The public is welcome, and refreshments will be served at 7:30 PM.  Bring any pennies you may have because they will be used to train new puppies.
