Plainfield Police Seek Suspect in Stabbing Incident

Daniel Oscar Toj-Salamon Credits: Plainfield Police Division

PLAINFIELD, NJ - Plainfield Police are actively seeking the whereabouts of a suspect in a Saturday evening stabbing incident.

On Saturday, March 18, 2017 at approximately 8:00 pm, Plainfield Police and EMS Units responded to the 300 block of East 6th Street on a report of a stabbing. Upon arriving in the area, responding officers located a 19 year old female with injuries consistent with a stabbing. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment where she was treated for non life threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed the victim and Daniel Oscar Toj-Salamon, age 23 of Plainfield were involved in a relationship.

Toj-Salamon has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Criminal Restraint and still remains at large.
