SPRINGFIELD, NJ -- PM Pediatrics, an award-winning provider of specialized pediatric urgent care, serving patients from newborns to college-age young adults, has opened its doors for local residents in the Union County-area.

“As a Scotch Plains resident, I’m very excited to be able to bring PM Pediatrics’ specialized urgent care to the families in our local community,” said Dr. Michael Bachman, Regional Medical Director for PM Pediatrics.

The 6,000 square foot office -- located at 355 Route 22 East in Springfield, NJ -- features a Wild West theme and has an on-site x-ray and laboratory, 12 exam rooms and two procedure rooms. In addition, each and every exam room is designed with different graphics from some of the kids’ favorite movies and TV shows such as Toy Story and Cars and are equipped with a high-definition flat screen television to help children cope with the anxiety often associated with doctor visits.

“PM Pediatrics allows me to work in a setting that is comforting for families, yet has all the pediatric specific equipment to care for children,” explained Bachman, who is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. “We strongly believe in the medical home and value the relationship families have with their pediatrician.  We see ourselves as another part of the team and are able to care for children and young adults when their primary doctor is unavailable or when they require services that their primary doctor’s don’t offer.”

PM Pediatrics accepts all major health insurance carriers and is open 365 days out of the year. The hours of operation for the Springfield facility are as follows:

  • Monday through Friday: 4 p.m. to midnight
  • Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: noon to midnight

Appointments are not necessary; in fact, most patients are walk-ins. PM Pediatrics strives to provide efficient service, short wait times and convenient hours for their patients.

For more information on PM Pediatrics, visit or call the Springfield location at 908-467-2767.
