SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains High School Pops Concert was held on Wednesday night in the school's auditorium. The school's various bands and musical groups performed a variety of musical selections from classical works to Disney's Frozen and everything in between.
The Concert Band brought "Frozen" to life, the Symphonic Band performed highly recognizable pieces from Tchaikovsky, and the Wind Ensemble performing highlights from Les Miserables.
Also wowing the crowd were the Percussion Ensemble, Rhythmsense, the Moonglowers and the SPF Jazz Band.
The musicians performed under the direction of district music teachers Vincent Turturiello, Durand Thomas, Joseph Reo, Charles Jackson, and student teacher (and SPF alumni) Josef Ellis.
