CLARK, NJ – Kathleen Boylan, a resident at the Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center recently turned 94. This year was an especially happy birthday for Boylan and her family because she recovered from COVID-19 shortly before the big day.

Boylan, originally from Scotch Plains, had to celebrate with family through windows since the center has been closed to visitors since the pandemic hit.

According to Wayne Blum, Administrator of the facility, Boylan’s family gathered in the parking lot with signs and well wishes to celebrate.  Boylan, a resident of the center since July of 2019, was able to enjoy her family from the windows of her room. One family member held a sign offering birthday wishes and hope: “We miss you and we will see you soon.”
