SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ – The Scotch Plains Public Library invites all animal lovers over the age of 3 to participate in the first summer reading event featuring wildlife native to New Jersey on Thursday, July 13, at 3:00 p.m.
As part of this year’s theme, Build a Better World, this interactive and educational show will feature the care and preservation of different animals by Rizzo’s Wildlife Discovery. Founded by Dominic and Sharon Rizzo, the center focuses on spreading the message of conservation for native New Jersey threatened species and preservation of their natural habitats, specifically wood turtles and northern pine snakes which are native to New Jersey. Dominic is a herpetoculturalist and has spent many years researching and volunteering with wildlife.
