FANWOOD, NJ – Over the last year, Rocko’s Ice Cream (38 S. Martine Ave.) has emerged as one of the premier go-to spots in downtown Fanwood for special occasions. From graduations and birthdays to post-game celebrations, Rocko’s delivers smiles to the faces of local residents in the Fanwood/Scotch Plains community.

On Saturday, July 1, the popular ice cream store will celebrate its first anniversary with free toppings on all ice cream purchases throughout the day. In addition, for one hour – between 1-2 p.m. – Rocko’s will be selling $1 soft cones. The store recently added a new, high tech soft ice cream machine that produces eight different flavors.

“It has been a great year for us, and we’re overwhelmed with the support that we’ve received,” said Brandon Watterson, manager of Rocko’s. “This milestone wouldn’t be possible without our customers, and this is our way of saying ‘thank you.’ We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of such a great community.”
