SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The Scotch Plains PBA will host a Casino Night to support the family of 25-year police veteran CJ Franco at the Scotch Plains Italian American Hall (1976 Valley Ave.) on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 7 to 10 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Officer Franco's 22-year-old daughter, Samantha, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Synovial Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.  She is currently undergoing treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. The PBA is raising money to help cover some of the expenses that are not covered by insurance.

“We hope to raise as much money as we can to help the Franco family during this difficult time,” said Officer David Lavery, who says the PBA expects between 200 and 250 people to attend the event.
