SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School held its 2017 commencement for its graduating class on a humid Thursday evening at the school's football field. 

The ceremony started at 6:00 p.m. and featured several speeches including one from Principal Dr. David Heisey, Superintendent Dr. Margaret Hayes, Valedictorian Carlie McNichol, and Salutatorian Max Mazursky.

At the conclusion of the commencement, the graduating seniors turned their tassels and threw their caps in the air to celebrate.
