SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- With the historic Shady Rest Clubhouse, a building that dates back to before the American Revolution, in the background, the Township of Scotch Plains hosted its third annual Independence Day fireworks display on Saturday, June 30. 

The even included food trucks and music by the Scotch Plainsmen, musicians who played with local music legend Pat DiNizio. Township officials on hand included Mayor Al Smith, Township Manager Al Mirabella, Councilman Ted Spera, Recreation Director DJ Salvante and Building/Zoning Official Bob Lacosta.
