FANWOOD, NJ -- Under sunny skies and unseasonably warm temperatures, Fanwood hosted its 8th annual Fanwood 5K and Superhero Family Fun Run at LaGrande Park on Saturday. 

In the one-mile Fun Run, children and adults dressed as their favorite costumed characters, including Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. The 5K race attracted competitive runners from Fanwood and Scotch Plains and as far away as Dumont and Glen Ridge  lined up on South Martine Avenue for the 5K race throughout the borough.
