SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood YMCA (FSPY) swim team hosted its annual adult social fundraiser at the historic Shady Rest Clubhouse at Scotch Hills Country Club on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The money raised supports the swim program, including many nationally ranked swimmers, who compete in the YMCA's short-course (April) and long-course (summer) championships.

FSPY is a year-round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction. The goal of the team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. Among its alumni are numerous top-ranked collegiate swimmers and 2000 Olympic silver and 2004 Olympic gold medalist Scott Greenblatt and 2016 Olympian Anna Bogdanovski.
