SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- A tradition on Labor Day Weekend for more than four decades in Scotch Plains/Fanwood, the St. Bart's Italian Festival on Friday night was an evening filled with music, food and fun, including games of skill and chance. 

Thousands of local residents and visitors took advantage of the clear but cool weather to enjoy Italian specialties, raffles and music performances. The proceeds from the festival benefit St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church, St. Bart's Academy and the local chapter of UNICO, the Italian American service organization. 

Day 2: Saturday, Sept. 2 (4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)
Mass in Italian - at 5 p.m.
Immediately after Mass, Procession honoring San Nicola di Bari and St. Bartholomew led by 
Metropolitan Festival Band. Then listen to Diamond Reno perform A Neil Diamond Tribute (Showtime: 7:45 p.m.)
