SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The Scotch Plains Recreation Department has announced plans for its spring Easter celebration with the “Easter Bunny Egg Drop 2021."  The at home event will feature a drive-by visit from the Easter Bunny and goodie bag delivery.

“We want to encourage families to 'hunt at home' as we continue to navigate our current health situation. Of course, we can’t wait to be enjoying this event in person with our community at Brookside Park, but this alternative opportunity aims to capture the joy of the event,” Recreation Director DJ Salvante said. "Although different, we are excited to be able to creatively celebrate."

“I applaud the Recreation Department’s work to make this event happen albeit with a little twist," Mayor Josh Losardo added. "Events like this one are important to our Township and even working through our current situation, our children and families deserve the opportunity to enjoy traditions like these.”
