SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Downtown Redevelopment Committee invites the public to attend a special meeting on Wednesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Auditorium (667 Westfield Rd.).

On the agenda is a discussion of Phase 1 of the redevelopment plan (click to view graphic). Scotch Plains business owners, landlords and property owners that are in the downtown area are urged to attend.

The redevelopment committee of about 20 members is working on a new downtown design meant to address the needs of the 21st century residents, business owners, landlords, and developers. The plan will balance jobs, housing, retail and commercial opportunities. The committee is comprised of approximately 20 members who include Township officials, business and property owners, local residents and other experts. is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s only free daily paper. Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) 13 and Over Swim Team Finishes 6th at State Championship

LANCASTER, PA -- The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA swim team traveled to Franklin-Marshall College in Lancaster, PA from March 9th to 11th for the NJ YMCA 13 and Over State Championships.  During this 3 day meet, 51 State Qualifiers from FSPY competed against 25 YMCA swim teams from across the state. Nineteen FSPY swimmers scored points by finishing in the top 16.
