CLARK, NJ – Chris Isolda gave up five hits and held the Johnson Crusaders to just one run as Scotch Plains-Fanwood beat the home team, 2-1, in Clark.

At the plate, Matt Marino and Peter Yarem each had a hit and an RBI for SPF in the victory. The Raiders scored the go-ahead run in the top of the third inning and blanked their opponents the rest of the way.

The Crusaders got an RBI from junior Mitch Becker, while junior Wes Giannobile went 2-2 in the loss. ALJ pitcher Anthony Furci gave up two runs on five hits while striking out two batters in the loss.

The Raiders (13-2) play at home on Wednesday afternoon against Summit in the Union County Tournament Quarterfinals at 4:00 p.m. ALJ (9-4) takes on Elizabeth in their Union County Tournament Quarterfinal game tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
