SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education honored the SPFHS Varsity Boys’ Volleyball team for its remarkable first season as a varsity program. This team earned an overall record of 20 wins and just four losses thereby earning the Hackensack Tournament Championship and the Union County Conference Championship.

This Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Team earned the top seed in the Union County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Championship and earned the school’s first Boys Volleyball County Championship by defeating Summit High School in sets. This team also advanced to the quarter finals of the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association Tournament.

The team consisted of Marcello Cappuccio, Braedon Cooke, Colin Donahue, Adam Glod, Ethan Johnston, Ryan Metzger, Joshua Morris, Michael Rinaldi, Peter Sailsman, Joseph Varela, Steven Verrastro and Evan Zakovic.  The Head Volleyball Coach is Brock Hor, assisted by Matthew Ritter.
