Scotch Plains-Fanwood Girls Win Sectional Swimming Title

PERTH AMBOY - Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls swimmers won their first sectional title since 2006 with a big 100-70 victory over Morristown in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Public B meet at Raritan Bay YMCA on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015. The Raider boys won their sectional title yesterday.

Sarah Davis won the 100 free and 200 free events and swam in the victorious 200 free relay for the Raiders. Stephanie Judge won both the 100 back and 100 butterfly. Rachel Maizes took the 200 IM, Amanda Banasiak won the 50 free, and Isabella Iacona won the 500 free. Only a victory for Morristown's Meghan Crowley in the 100 breast prevented a Raiders' sweep of the individual events. Morristown also took the 400 freestyle relay.
