SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The 2018 Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Golf Team endured a season of dramatically cold and rainy weather and finished the season with a 13-3 record.

At the start of the season, the Raiders were successful in defending the Bomber Tournament Championship in Middlesex County. This golf team set a school record of scoring 308 in the Union County Tournament and they were crowned the Runner Up for the 2018 Union County Tournament with Jimmy Bagdonas winning the Individual County Championship, only the fourth in school history, scoring 74. 

The team, consisting of Jimmy Bagdonas, Jared Bloom, Patrick Bourke, Sam Calao, Louie Daniele, Miguel Fontora, Sean Illanovsky, John Williamson, and Jonathan Yu earned the school’s fifth North II Group 3 Sectional Championship scoring a 33 lead by Jared Bloom’s 2 under par score of 70.

The Golf Team’s successful season culminated with a 7th place finish in the State Tournament of Champions led by Louie Daniele’s fifth place finish. The complete team led by Coach Ryan Goracy had an incredible year.
