SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School senior, Jonathan Yu has been selected as a 1st Chair in the Symphonic Band of Central NJ, and also as 3rd Chair in the prestigious Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA).

Yu had an outstanding application at the recent CJMEA Region II auditions by earning 1st Chair in the Symphonic Band out of over 120 top clarinet players from across Central New Jersey. Last year, Jonathan was a member of the All-State Orchestra.

"Jonathan's successful clarinet audition was a true testament to his talent and dedication," said Dr. David Heisey, principal of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. "He will continue with the audition for All State Band and Orchestra."
