SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Brava! to the organizers of Cabaret for a Cause at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
"I am thrilled to announce that our Cabaret for a Cause concert raised over $2500 to donate to the Long Term Care Unit of the Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside," said SPFHS Choral Director Jan Allen.
Senior Gabrielle Klausner was in charge of organizing the event in conjunction with myself for our choral performance, and she regularly volunteers there and has helped establish their book collection and other activities for their patients.
"We were also fortunate to have Leah Hansen attend our performance and share with us her road to rehabilitation, which was inspiring to all," Mrs. Allen added. "It was an incredible night and such a gift to be a part of supporting the Children's Specialized Hospital."
