Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School's Chris Bondarowicz Named All State Swimmer

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School junior Chris Bondarowicz has been named the state's top swimmer in the 100 yard breaststroke, according to's year-end recap.

"It is a great honor to be included on the list with some of New Jersey's best swimmers and to represent Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School," Bondarowicz, a junior, said. "This state produces so many great swimmers who go on to excel in college and the international level, so it is humbling to be included. I can only hope to get even better next year."

Bondarowicz helped the Raider boys win the Union County championship with a victory in the 100 breast and the 200 IM and played a big part in the team's winning the Sectional title and advancing to the state championship final meet.

Girls Basketball: Union Catholic Will Play In Game To Support Childhood Cancer

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Union Catholic varsity girls basketball team is honored to be playing in the Gold-Out game at Bernards High School for the third straight year, a game that will raise money and awareness for Childhood Cancer.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m, is called the “Gold-Out’’ game because gold is the awareness color for Childhood Cancer.
