Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District Given A Grade, Ranked #50 in NJ by

SPFK12 District received an A grade from Credits:

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District rated no. 50 in New Jersey, according to a new ranking by real estate site

The eight schools (five elementary, two middle schools, one high school) in the district, which has 5,481 students in grades K-12, was given an overall A grade. SPFK-12 rated no less than a B in any category and scored A+ ratings in Academics and Educational Outcomes.

According to state standards, 87% of students in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood district are considered proficient in math and/or reading. The district has an overall annual budget of $83,103,000, which amounts to an average of $15,168 spent per student.

The Average Graduation Rate in SPFK-12 was 98.0%, compared to the national average of 82.2%. The student-teacher ratio was 13:1, significantly lower than the 16:1 average nationwide.
