Scotch Plains Honors SPFHS Student Athletes at Council Meeting

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Council recognized the achievements of a number of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School winter athletes at the governing body's meeting on Tuesday, April 17. 

Among those honored were:

  • Girls Varsity Swim Team: Four-time Union County Champions
  • Wrestler Sam Wustefeld: Union County and District Champion, runner up in the State Championships in Atlantic City
  • Boys Track & Field: 4x400 Relay Team: Jacob Leigh, Justin Sanders, Kyle Estivene, and Max Toll finished first in the Feb 2 NJSIAA Sectional Championships (North 2 Group 2&3) with a time of 3:32.23.
  • Girls Track & Field: High Jumper Che Dashiell, who is only a sophomore this year, won the high jumping event at the Spiked Shoe Holiday Festival at the Armory Track Center in New York City. is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s only free daily paper.
