Scotch Plains Hosts Columbus Day Celebration on Sat, Oct. 7

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Township of Scotch Plains will host its annual Columbus Day celebration on the Alan Augustine Village Green on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10:00 a.m. 

The ceremonies will honor the sailor from Genoa who sailed for Spain and reached the Americas in 1492 and will feature the participation of prominent members of the township's vibrant Italian American community.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Chapter of UNICO and The Italian American Club will provide coffee, donuts and Italian sandwiches.
