SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains mayoral candidates went head-to-head on Wednesday evening at the Scotch Plains Municipal Building. 

Mayor Kevin Glover (D), and his opponents, Al Smith (R) and Keith Owens (independent), fielded questions on their vision of the future, township financing, downtown redevelopment, parking, the Shady Rest Clubhouse and other topics.

Council candidates Luisa Bianco (D) and Ted Spera (R) responded to direct questions from moderator Fred Rossi of the Scotch Plains Times about downtown development, debt and taxes, and other pertinent subjects.
