Scotch Plains Police Announce Street Closures for Memorial Day Parade

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains police department has announced street closures for the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30th.

The parade will start on Park Ave. in Scotch Plains at approximately 10:45 a.m. and end at LaGrande Park in Fanwood. Parking will be restricted on Park Ave. between Grand St. and Portland Ave. from 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Vehicles left on Park Ave. after 5:00 a.m. will be towed.

Park Ave will be closed at 9:00 a.m. between Mountain Ave. and East Second St. in Scotch Plains until the start of the parade at 10:00 a.m. The entire parade route along Park Ave. / Martine Ave. will be closed from Mountain Ave. in Scotch Plains to LaGrand Ave. in Fanwood will be closed to traffic once it commences. The route will remain closed to traffic until the end of the parade at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Parking on side streets and municipal lots is limited and will fill up quickly with parade participants and spectators. Any cars that are parked illegally, cause a hazard or block access to emergency vehicles, will be towed.
