Scotch Plains Public Library to Host VA Claims Clinic on Oct. 30

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- As part of the World War I and America series, the Scotch Plains Public Library is hosting many interesting lectures, discussions, and films during October and November. The series commemorates the centennial of American involvement in World War I and explores the ongoing experience of veterans who have served in our lifetimes.

In an effort to further support today’s veterans, Lillie Nuble, Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs in Newark, will be at the Scotch Plains Public Library on Monday, Oct. 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to discuss VA benefits including compensation, pension, vocational rehabilitation, employment, and education benefits.

World War I and America is a two-year initiative of Library of America presented in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and other organizations, with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities.
