Scotch Plains to Host Halloween Trunk or Treat and Food Drive on Sun, Oct. 30

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- On Sunday, Oct. 30, the Township of Scotch Plains will host its second annual 'Trunk or Treat' event on Park Ave. and the Alan Augustine Village Green from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In addition, there will be a scarecrow decorating contest, costume contest, crafts and hay rides for the family to enjoy. Other Halloween activities, including crafts and spooky stories, courtesy of the Scotch Plains Library, will be part of the afternoon fun. 

In addition, there will be a Food Collection Van gathering non-perishable items in effort to support local food banks this season.

Community members and organizations must register to participate in the Trunk or Treat and the scarecrow decorating contest by contacting Margaret Heisey at 908-322-6700 ext 314 or via email at mheisey@scotchplainsnj.com

Trunk or Treat is hosted by the Township of Scotch Plains & the Cultural Arts Committee.
