SCOTCH PLAINS. NJ -- The Township of Scotch Plains has rescheduled Live Band Karaoke Night for Wednesday, August 29, from 6:30  to 8:30 p.m. at the Alan Augustine Village Green next to the Municipal Building (430 Park Ave).

Live Band Karaoke Night will feature the band The Golden Boyz of New Brunswick. Participants will get to be the “lead singer” and perform songs from a variety of genres including rock, pop, punk, funk, Motown, metal, and R&B.

"Mashing classic karaoke into a concert with a live band..."  The Golden Boyz of New Brunswick band members have been backing musicians for everyone from Leslie Gore to Dee Snider. They perform "Live Band Karaoke" regularly throughout the NJ/NY area.

Live Band Karaoke Night is a free, family event that is open to people of all ages. A list of songs will be available at the event and all song choices will be family friendly.

“In conjunction with our redevelopment efforts, the Township is excited to bring Live Band Karaoke Night to Scotch Plains,” said Tom Strowe, Project Coordinator for Redevelopment, who will emcee the event. “Choose your song, own the stage, and bring your cheering section for a rockin’ night in downtown. If you’re not a singer, just bring a blanket and a chair and enjoy the show."
