WESTFIELD, NJ -- The Westfield Memorial Library is excited to host a presentation of “Powerful Trouble,” a stirring collection of moments and music from William Shakespeare’s plays, on Wednesday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.

“Powerful Trouble” will be presented by The Shrewd Mechanicals, the new touring company of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. This live presentation focuses on moments and music from  The Bard's great canon of plays, as well as selections from some of the profound, witty, and light-hearted works his plays have inspired over the centuries. The show will be presented by a taut four-member ensemble.

Due to space considerations, registration is available for Westfield resident cardholders only. Beginning July 11, MURAL patrons may register, space permitting. MURAL patrons belong to the 44 libraries -- including Scotch Plains and Fanwood -- that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. To register for either program, visit the library’s website, click on the Online Calendar, or call 908.789.4090 option 0.
