Small Fry Camp Registration Open on Feb. 7


SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Registration for Scotch Plains Recreation's "Small Fry" camp will open on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 8:30 a.m. 

Small Fry Camp is available to boys and girls ages 3-5 years old and children who will be attending kindergarten in September 2017.  All children attending this camp must be potty trained. The camp runs Mondays - Fridays at Green Forest Park (554 Westfield Road). Note that the camp is not rain or shine and may be canceled if there is inclement weather. 

Three sessions will be offered:

  • July 5th - July 14th
  • July 17th - July 28th
  • July 31st - August 11th

For each session, you can either sign up for the 9:00 am - 11:15 am time slot, the 11:30 am - 1:45 pm time slot, or both. Included in registration:

  • Camp t-shirt
  • Special events
  • Arts and crafts
  • Sports

The Scotch Plains Recreation also announced that it will be hiring new supervisors, counselors, and counselors in training. All interested candidates must have at least completed 9th grade before the start of camp. Prospective counselors must be available to work the full 6 weeks of camp (no exceptions).
